If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I have done many wine tasting experiences in several cities and countries around the world, and this one is without a doubt in the top 5! From the very convenient pickup and drive to the venue with the very capable and personable Mario, to the Abaia venue itself, this was a truly remarkable experience. The place is stunningly gorgeous, and knowing the history was an added bonus. What an ingenious use of the many bunkers built during the Albanian Communist era - turning them into such beautiful and functional purposes. Elena, our tasting guide, was wonderful. Her personality truly shined, showing she is in the right profession! And the food that accompanied the tasting was beyond top notch - incredible! Finally, the wines were superb. Crisp, bold, smooth. I had never heard of Shesh grapes and I was so pleasantly surprised! My friend who joined me lives in Austrian wine country and she was suitably impressed. Cannot recommend enough

The scenery was beautiful, the tasting food and wine was lovely but most of all our tour guide Erisa was fantastic. She made us feel very welcome and answered all of our questions, her English was also very good. At a small additional charge we got picked up directly from our hotel and taken home, they were very friendly and had good knowledge of the winery.
